I have a holistic approach to counseling and help each client work toward a more peaceful, fulfilling, and balanced place in his or her life. There are many paths that lead to healing and growth and I look forward to journeying with each client to find the path that is right for him or her.   I am drawn to psychodynamic theory, particularly Carl Jung’s teachings, as a way of understanding clients.  I also utilize humanistic theory to help clients gain self awareness and affect meaningful changes in their lives.   I use the Imago Relationship Therapy framework when working with couples which helps partners communicate more effectively, as well as gain understanding of and empathy for one another.   

I work with couples at many different stages of relationships from premarital/pre-commitment counseling to couples who want to strengthen an already healthy relationship to couples who are contemplating separation.  In addition, I work with individuals who are dealing with symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger, life transitions, and identity issues.  I have experience counseling youth and their families on communication issues as well as issues specific to youth with learning differences.
